Indigo guide Kevin Morlock will be spending the day at FlyMasters of Indianapolis on Saturday, May 22nd, 2010.  He will be talking and answering questions on Great Lakes flats fishing for carp and smallmouth.  Kevin will also be tying up some of his favorite fly patterns.

Indigo guides Steve Martinez and Kevin Morlock will be talking to the Derby City Fly Fishers on Wednesday, March 17th, 2010.  Kevin will be giving a full presentation on fly fishing for Great Lakes carp.  By request, Steve will be giving a short presentation on mousing for trout.

FlyMasters of Indianapolis will be hosting a summer carp outing at Beaver Island on July 10th-14th and 14th-18th.  Ian Anderson will be running the event for FlyMasters.  For the last couple years Ian has hosted a number of outings at Barothy Lodge and Beaver Island with Indigo and they are always a success.  Ian has a great attention to detail and puts together a great outing.

Kevin Morlock will be talking about Michigan Steelhead to the Northern Kentucky Fly Fishers (NKFF) on Thursday, February 4th, 2010.  The NKFF meetings are held at the  Briarwood Banquets, 2134 Petersberg Road, Hebron, Kentucky from 5:30 to 9:30.  The NKFF are a great group of folks and Kevin is looking forward to heading down.

Buckeye United Fly Fishers, 2010 Greater Cincinnati Fly Fishing Show

The Buckeye United Fly Fishers (BUFF) again will be hosting their Greater Cincinnati Fly Fishing Show on February 6th, 2010 from 9:00 to 4:30.  The event is being held at the Receptions Conference Center (Fairfield), 5975 Boymel Drive, Fairfield, OH 54014.  There will be exhibits ranging from guide and outfitters, natural resource departments, shops, rod building, fly tying and a kids corner.

BUFF is a great organization, please stop in and check out their show.  Unfortunately the Indigo crew will not be able to make the event this year but we will look forward to getting down there in 2011.

The Indigo crew had a great time at the Kentuckiana Fly Fishing Show last year and really wanted to attend this year, unfortunately schedules didn’t work out.  If your anywhere near Louisville on that weekend don’t hesitate to stop in, the Derby City Fly Fishers put on a great show.

The Michigan River Guides Association (MRGA) will be having an open meeting Wednesday, January 6th, 2010 at the Red Anchor in Croton, Michigan, the meeting will start at 7:00pm.  The MRGA is our premier river guide organization in the state, along with protecting the rights of it’s guide members it also supports a broad range of other projects.

Kevin Morlock will be talking at Colton Bay Outfitters in Ann Arbor, Michigan on February 10th, 2010.  The subject will be Great lakes carp fishing and Beaver Island as a perfect carp fishing destination.  Kevin will have some of his carp flies on hand and will be happy to answer any questions.  Colton Bay has a great selection and has a very warm and friendly feel.
