Buckeye United Fly Fishers, 2010 Greater Cincinnati Fly Fishing Show

The Buckeye United Fly Fishers (BUFF) again will be hosting their Greater Cincinnati Fly Fishing Show on February 6th, 2010 from 9:00 to 4:30.  The event is being held at the Receptions Conference Center (Fairfield), 5975 Boymel Drive, Fairfield, OH 54014.  There will be exhibits ranging from guide and outfitters, natural resource departments, shops, rod building, fly tying and a kids corner.

BUFF is a great organization, please stop in and check out their show.  Unfortunately the Indigo crew will not be able to make the event this year but we will look forward to getting down there in 2011.

The Indigo crew had a great time at the Kentuckiana Fly Fishing Show last year and really wanted to attend this year, unfortunately schedules didn’t work out.  If your anywhere near Louisville on that weekend don’t hesitate to stop in, the Derby City Fly Fishers put on a great show.

At Approximately 2:45 pm on Thursday, January 7, 2010, michiganoutofdoors.com will provide a LIVE video stream of the Natural Resources Commission meeting.  A recent change tot he agenda has indicated that an issue regarding the way our license fee dollars are being spent will be discussed.  Do not miss the live coverage and subsequent coverage and reaction to the issue.

The Michigan River Guides Association (MRGA) will be having an open meeting Wednesday, January 6th, 2010 at the Red Anchor in Croton, Michigan, the meeting will start at 7:00pm.  The MRGA is our premier river guide organization in the state, along with protecting the rights of it’s guide members it also supports a broad range of other projects.

Temps – mid 30’s          Water Conditions – average
>>>So far it has been a good winter for fishing, decent snow levels with mild temps.  The river is in good shape with the lower sections still open.  Fishing is average to good considering water temps are only a few degrees above freezing.  Kevin Morlock
